About Our Camps

Schooled in Hoops basketball camp teaches boys and girls ages 5-1 8how to be well-rounded, team-orientated players. Campers will benefit from our philosophy of small group instruction, close supervision by coaches, emphasis on skills, quality game play and focus on sportsmanship and teamwork. Campers are grouped according to age and ability.

Camp director Joe Triolo and an experienced staff featuring high school and college coaches promote a safe, fun, and competitve environment designed to enhance your child's love of basketball.

Our Program

Youth Basketball Development

We offer a unique basketball training program for young student athletes. At Schooled In Hoops, emphasis is placed on the development of fundamental skills in a fun, safe and challenging environment.

  • Instructed by former colligate coaches and players with over 10+ years of experience
Our clinics provide overall skill development with a focus on: offensive moves, defensive strategies, ball handling, shooting form, passing and rebounding. We can cater to your program needs and work with students to obtain the level of success that every child dreams of achieving.

Joe Triolo holds three NYS teacher certifications in the area of Birth - Grade 2, Childhood Education (grades 1-6), and Middle Childhood Education (grades 5-9). He has his Masters Degree in Education and is a Certified NYS Athletic Coach.

Joe has spent three years coaching at the collegiate level as well as over 5+ years at the High school, Junior High and Elementary level. In addition to coaching basketball, Coach Triolo has worked as an assistant softball coach and coaches women’s volleyball and basketball in Valhalla, NY, where he has successfully help lead the Lady Vikings to a Section One championship game.

Coach Triolo’s passion for basketball is evident in his coaching and private lessons. His focus is on teaching the fundamentals while introducing strategies which will allow players to reach their maximum potential. Coach Triolo started SIH to give back to the community who supported him while growing up in upstate New York. He feels that every child should have the opportunity to experience the level of success that he has.

As a player Coach Triolo was a two year team captain during his Junior and Senior Season (1999-2001) at Plattsburgh State University. During his senior year Joe averaged 25pts per game until a mid-season injury sidelined him. Joe went on to finish his career at Plattsburgh with an average of 14.8 pts per game while averaging 6 rebounds per game. Coach Triolo played one year at SUNY Delhi averaging just shy of 20pts per game. His 3 year scoring totals accumulate to 1100 points with 450 rebounds, with career field goal percentages of 42% and a 3pt field goal percentage of 38%.
